Labyrinth Available to Community :  A labyrinth has been laid in our front lot and is available to the community 24/7. In a rustic setting of natural ground covering, the stones form a pathway which can be used for prayer, meditation, and/or reflection. You are invited to come and walk anytime!

Renovated Chapel:  The "Chapel at Gethsemane" has undergone a complete renovation. Come and visit!

Contemplative Communion :  Each Sunday, a small group gathers at 8:00am for "Contemplative Communion", a brief service of meditation, scripture, prayer, and Holy communion.

Serra Mesa Community Meal:  In conjunction with Mission Valley Christian Fellowship, a meal is offered on the last Saturday night of each month from 4:30 to 6pm. This is for all -- whether you have no food at the end of the month, whether take out is getting boring or expensive, or whether you are simply tired of your own cooking and would like some company. The menu for the summer (June 30, July 28, and August 25) is salad, bread, and dessert. All are welcome.

Gospel Hour Sunday:  Every 4th Sunday of the month, we have our "Gospel Hour Liturgy" where music is from the African American tradition, the global tradition, revival hymns, contemporary country gospel, or "an old time hymn". It is celebratory and upbeat. Come and bring a friend. We have "Word for the Children" (Sunday School) on the 4th Sunday also.

Take 30 on Wednesdays:  Need a place to center and worship on Wednesday? We offer three 30 minute times for prayer each Wednesday. Morning Prayer is surrounded by music at 8:00am, Contemplative Communion is offered at noon, and Evening Prayer is offered at 5:30pm with a CD Concert Series of classical music surrounding prayer.

New Orleans Mission Trip:  Members of Gethsemane will join Ascension Lutheran in a June 25 to July 5 Mission Trip to Ascension's Mission Partner, Bethlehem Lutheran. Under the visionary leadership of Rev. Pat Keen, Bethlehem is reclaiming its neighborhood one house at a time. The homes were devastated by Huricane Katrina and the levy break. Last summer's trip involved work on two houses. A "Fiesta" fundraiser will be held on May 17.
