SUMMARY:SUNDAY WORSHIP - Contemplative Communion
DESCRIPTION:February 13\, 2022: 6th Sunday after Epiphany  \nFirst Reading: Jeremiah 17:5-10 – Blessed are those who trust the Lord\, they are like trees by water\nPsalm: Psalm 1 – They are like trees planted by streams of water. (Ps. 1:3)\nSecond Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:12-20 – Christ has been raised\, the first fruits of those who have died\nGospel: Luke 6:17-26 – Jesus speaks blessings on the poor and hungry; woes on the rich and full \nCovid-19 Regulations\n\n\nIn light of the ongoing pandemic and the presence of the Delta variant\, we are all wearing masks for the 9:30 service. Other congregations are making different choices\, accepting greater levels of risk\, but we have opted to take a cautious path throughout. We believe it is our duty and it is also our desire to protect the vulnerable among us and to adapt ourselves to the current times. We all live each day doing the best we can. We are a church that recognizes life is fragile and we are inherently vulnerable. We are always a breath away from our mortality. Please realize we make every effort to minimize the risk of transmitting COVID-19 during worship\, but even being careful cannot remove all risk. Also\, we want our non-vaccinated friends to be able to worship with us without being singled out. The 8am service is a much smaller group and there are few responses and no singing\, so mask wearing there has been optional. We are asking all who attend the 8am service to have a face covering with you\, just in case we have a friend in attendance who is not yet comfortable being out without covering. Thank you.

SUMMARY:SUNDAY WORSHIP - Contemplative Communion
DESCRIPTION:JANUARY 16\, 2022: 2nd Sunday after Epiphany \nFirst Reading: Isaiah 62:1-5 – As a bridegroom and bride rejoice\, so shall God rejoice over you \nPsalm: Psalm 36:5-10 – We feast upon the abundance of your house\, O Lord. (Ps. 36:8) \nSecond Reading: 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 – There are a variety of gifts but the same Spirit \nGospel: John 2:1-11 – The wedding at Cana \n\nCovid-19 Regulations\n\n\nIn light of the ongoing pandemic and the presence of the Delta variant\, we are all wearing masks for the 9:30 service. Thank you.

SUMMARY:Spiritual Questers Study - 12 step
DESCRIPTION:The 12 Steps of AA are a guide to living a spiritual life. In the church\, we might call them a format for discipleship. I have adapted them slightly so they more explicitly apply to everyone\, not just alcoholics. The group that met in the fall to study The 12 Steps thought it would be helpful to be able to continue to reflect on them so once a month\, we will have an opportunity to consider our approach to living with an eye for the Steps\, melding them with our faith. In January we will study Step 1. In February Step 2 and so on. \nWe will meet at 7:00 pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month on the GLC Zoom link.

SUMMARY:SUNDAY WORSHIP - Contemplative Communion
DESCRIPTION:December 19\, 2021: Fourth Sunday of Advent  \nContemplative Communion in the Chapel at 8:00 a.m. \nClassic Communion — in the Chapel and Livestream on Facebook at 9:30 a.m. (Or on Facebook any time after.) \nFirst Reading: Micah 5:2-5a – From Bethlehem comes a ruler \nPsalm: Luke 1:46b-55 – You\, Lord\, have lifted up the lowly. (Lk. 1:52) \nSecond Reading: Hebrews 10:5-10 – I have come to do your will \nGospel: Luke 1:39-45 – Blessed are you among women / My soul magnifies the Lord \nCovid-19 Regulations\n\n\nIn light of the ongoing pandemic and the presence of the Delta variant\, we are all wearing masks for the 9:30 service. Thank you.
