3 Ways to Show God’s Love

God is the ultimate source of love. When we are filled with God’s love, we can’t help but naturally want to share that love with others. In this blog post, we want to share 3 simple ways to help you show God’s love to others.

Show God’s Love By Lending a Listening Ear

In today’s world, we are given a variety of opportunities and ways to communicate with one another. Despite this, many people feel isolated and alone. In today’s culture, it is easy to get caught up in the superficiality of social media and forget to take the time to genuinely connect with each other.

When was the last time you reached out to a family member, a friend, or even a stranger? When was the last time you gave them a ring or spent time with them in person?

Take the time to reach out to those around you. Chances are they are in desperate need of a listening ear. Let the people around you know that you are there for them. Allow them to feel valued, heard, and understood. In our ever-evolving and chaotic world, simply having the opportunity to talk to someone makes a world of difference. Listening is one of the best ways to connect and show God’s love.

Show God’s Love Through Encouragement

Life can be tough sometimes. Everyone is struggling one way or another. We all have a build up of pressure from the world around us and from within us. Some carry it better than others, but it doesn’t make the burden less significant. We may never ever really know the intricacies of each other’s lives, but a simple word of encouragement can go a long way.

“Be an Encourager: When you encourage others, you boost their self-esteem, enhance their self-confidence, make them work harder, lift their spirits and make them successful in their endeavors. Encouragement goes straight to the heart and is always available. Be an encourager. Always.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

Show God’s Love Through Generosity

John 3:16 reminds us that God committed the ultimate act of love by dying on the cross for us. Jesus died so that we could live.

Now, we’re not saying go and put your life on the line for someone else exactly, but we are saying an act of generosity is a great way to show God’s love to others. You can express your generosity with your money, time, or talents!

Think about the last time someone was generous to you. Think about the impact it had on you. Think about how it made you feel. And with that, spread the love and pass it forward.
